Great place. Close to the ocean. Very secluded beach just for rv park. Took he old 101 trail with my boys. Great site wish I could stay
It was a great.fathersday weekend with my boys. The view of the ocean is spectacular and everything in town is walking distance. The hot tub showers and laundry were all clean and nice. My rig was too big but the staff was super accommodating. I had a great time.
The camp is run by the city and it is very clean. I've seen boyscout troops come through on packs of bicycles and single joggers on the Banks Vernonia trail which is easy and scenic. The trail comes through camp and you can walk anywhere in town from camp. Grocery, laundry, several good restaurants and shops.
It is clean and nice. Very quiet. Remember to ask for alternative pricing cause gold spots are 70 a night.
This morning, Dec 1st, I woke up to the sound of frogs croaking, birds chirping, airplanes swooshing, trains puffing, traffic roaring, a shipping vessel rumbles by, waves crashing a rooster crowing, chickens clucking, geese honking, a tractor starting. I can hear nature, farm, and city here from my picnic table or lying in bed with my window open. The sky awoke slow this morning with a magnificent show of melty purples, pinks, and oranges. I've been non ambulatory for a while and it's been nice to just close your eyes and listen to this place. So many different avenues for you to wander with your imagination. Or you can actually go wander. I can walk to a sand beach and take an Uber to downtown Portland for about $25. Super site, the hot showers were great. I had Thanksgiving with my 9 yo boys here and it was something we will never forget. Eating apple pie and watching 20 story tall container ships glide by was neat.
