Fun park with a lot of options for hiking, fishing and kayaking! Had an awesome primitive camp loop, RV and shelter sites looked good too!
We loved the cabin, it made winter camping with kids do-able! Loved hiking and exploring! A ton of CCC history and beautiful bald cypress here!
We loved kayaking this lake! Camped at RV and shelter site, both were great!
Pretty cool play ground, trails to explore, covered picnic tables in the swim area, nice fishing piers. A really cool SP.
Great lake for kayaking, paddle boating, swimming and fishing! We had a blast! Several trails for great variety!
Kayak launch isn’t easy to get to but the have provided a slide for yaks to get from the parking area to/from the launch. Once you’re there though its like you’re transported somewhere else and you weave your way through a winding canal to reach the lake (very cool). We all enjoyed it! Yaked over to the day-use swim area that was very nice. We can’t wait to go camping there!
I brought our girls out for their maiden solo kayak trip and it was a great place to start the kiddos out. This week we took some friends out for their first yak trip; it was a perfect spot!
Best splash pad around! Kids love it and playground with concessions available! Nice, clean facilities!
Visited with a group of friends and stayed in a cabin. No frills but super clean and functional. Great facilities, beautiful kayaking and hiking trails. A great time all around and the scenery is out of this world!
Took my littles and we had fun panning for a hot minute but the trails were good, the playground was good and the facilities were very clean! Something way out of our normal!
Cabins were awesome, hiking was beautiful and kayaking the lake was fantastic! By far the best part of the trip was the events hosted by the Park… almost my whole family participated in eating mill worms at the edible bug workshop!
The kids loved the versatility of the trails at this SP. we climbed to 535 ft, walked around the lake and explored waterfalls all at the same park! Good times and good facilities!
Great trails and kayaking in the slough!!! Beautiful SP!
My girls and I loved hiking on one of two parks in Texas that you can WALK on the El Camino Royal!!! Great playground, facilities and staff!
