Creekside Camping

Beautiful RV sites in wooded area along Catawba Creek. Old Fort, NC and Falls nearby. Nice bathhouse, pump-out nearby. Diverse tent camping also available. Don’t let full time rv’s scare you. New RV site down from the entrance.

Quiet, well organized

This was a one night stay. Gravel sites arranged like a parking lot but large enough for big rigs. Trees and flowers all about. 50 amps only.

Great park, but noisy

Road noisy kept this from being a 5. Good facilities all around. Concrete pads, all drive through.

Camping under the trees

This campground is in a grove of trees with the sites along dirt roads in the grove. Each site has water, sewage, and electric. Owners were nice and helpful. We really enjoyed this park.

Great View and Hospitality

This camp will be sold end of May, 2023 The current owners and staff were very nice. Restaurant food was excellent. The view of Devil’s Tower was superb. The campsites were level with electricity. No dump station anywhere and water was available only from a tap at the bathhouse. Bathhouse was adequate. 7 sites available.

Great place to stay a few days

This campground has just about every thing you might need. It is well maintained. The staff is very gracious. Cafe makes great breakfast.

Last year they removed one campsite between every other site leaving very spacious sites with vehicle parking.

This campground is a short distance from Custer which has an Ace Hardware, grocery stores and friendly citizens. Crazy Horse and Mt Rushmore are 30 minutes away.

Hard to beat

This campground sits on a hight overlooking Pierre, the capital, and the Missouri river. Beautiful at night. Campsites are close together with full hookups. Many amenities are offered on site such as horse shoes, Egg grills, mice playground dog walk, showers, laundry, and cable TV in the clubhouse

Nature odditty at it’s best

The Badlands is a site to behold with its unique hills. Its full of history too of the western outlaws and modern history with an actual Minuteman missile site right next door.

There is nothing special about the camp sites. There is 30/50 amps at most RV sites but no water. The potable water and dump is available at the entrance to the campsite. The park cost $30+ to get in and at least $42 per night to camp. Showers will cost you too. It was very early season and there was little else to do. Park service personnel were very helpful and friendly. Don’t come hear before May

Very disappointing

This is a city run campground. We had reserved a site and paid with the city. When we arrived there was no host, no access to the bathhouse, and no running water. No one answered at city hall; it was Sunday. I dont know why no one could have call us about the water turnoff on Friday.

Good overnight

This appears to be a new campground with full hookups and drive thru’s. Well leveled gravel. Good scenery. No evidence of out buildings, showers etc. Very quiet.

Good overnight stop

Good level sites with full hookups, gravel. Older facilities with new helpful managers. A number of sites had old rigs on them.

Nice but expensive

This is a city run camp with like-new amenities. Unfortunately it sits on the wrong side of a levee with not much atmosphere. The water is part of the Missouri river flood control. An overnight site in my opinion.

Very well kept, pleasant atmosphere

This is a very well kept campground just a short distance from I-26. Gravel sites with water, dump, 30/50 amps. Most sites have shade trees. Friendly staff

No water at campsite

Gravel campsite with paved entrances, 30/50 electric, and picnic table. Situated on the edge of the beautiful Pisgah National Forest. Ranger station nearby. Brevard just outside gate. Waterfalls abound. Sites situated close to bathhouses with warm showers, sinks. This is black bear country. Hiking trails.

Still a great campsite

Fort Hamby continues to be one the very best campgrounds in the region. Low cost ,beautiful views, water access, quiet.

Nice, quiet and wooded

This is a state park with wooded campsites. Lots of ponds. Large playgrounds and an aquatic center a short distance from RV sites. Lots of friendly neighbors and staff.

Great wooded sites near lake

These great wooded sites have lake access and are nicely separated. There is a swimming area, boat ramp, playground, volley ball court, and disk golf. Quiet

Closed for at least 1 1/2 years

Unfortunately we were unable to camp here. According to park ranger said this campground is closed for one year or longer. No explanation was given as to why. Ft Hamby Campground is nearby and open.

Near Atlanta

This campsite has two small lakes as their centerpiece. Very close sites with electric and water. Some sewer sites, dump station cost an extra $10 on top of $50 fee. No other amenities to speak of

Full Hook-Ups, nothing else

This is a bare bone site with full hookups on drive through concrete pads. Nice and level. $20.00 cash.
