This little slice of peace was well worth the drive! My fiancé and I stayed for just one night and spent the entire time hanging out around the fire or lounging inside the A-Frame. Very very cozy and wonderfully peaceful.

Don’t peal the bark! The cathedral pines are stunning to behold and I appreciate that the campground staff discourage visitors from messing with the trees. For such a large campground it’s surprisingly peaceful, there is just enough space between sites but they are not private.

I love to visit Lake Saint George! As a state park it’s nice and clean and offers several comforts like a bathhouse with flushing toilets and showers. There is a day park for swimming with a life guard and an impressive playground for little ones. A lot of the campsites are waterfront and flat for tents. Very peaceful at night listening to the loons.

I stayed here in a tent back in 2015. Great campground for someone who enjoys a more social experience, and access to many activities! There was plenty of walking to do, a playground, and lots of marsh area to explore with snails and horseshoe crabs around.

My fiancé and I tented here over the weekend and although it was chilly at night (33F!) we had a blast having water access right from our site and the ability to park within steps of our tent. Bigelow Preserve offers several free first come first serve sites, some of them require a small hike to get in but they all have a fire ring and outhouse which is an excellent amenity for dispersed camping. Overall it was a nice, sandy, fairly level site with access to some hiking trails and AMAZING water and mountain views.
