This is a great family campground to escape the noise of the city. Good for RV's and tents. Lots of things to do in surrounding towns and easy access to the river.
I have loved this campground for a long time. There is so much to do and it is close to everything. They have just remodeled so I haven't seen the new cabins but I am sure they are great. This is my hometown and I have always loved going there. It is great for group events, hiking, or swimming for the day.Too much to do!
This campground offers great hiking and a casual feel to it. Good for passer byes or staying the weekend to go fishing. Again on Route 9 so not the quietest campground, but there are back sites that offer some more privacy if wanted. Lean-tos are the best part! Keeping it simple. And the workers are always very friendly. Affordable as well.
I stayed ere from July to September last year in my RV, great spot right by the river. It was never too loud there, great locals stay there mostly. I enjoyed the hiking trails in the back and a pretty good amount of things to do near by. Being able to walk to a store and restaurant is great. The hosts were the sweetest older folks and they were beyond friendly. Bathrooms always were clean. Showers could use some updating and maybe a little expansion, otherwise was great.
This is a great campground for on the road campers. It is near Route 9 so not much quiet during the day, but at night its great. There is also hiking at the campground and that is a definite plus! I loved staying in the lean-tos because it is perfect camping no matter the weather. Also the people working there are nothing short of friendly!
It has little privacy but it is a great campground that is close to it all!
We brought our dog and still had plenty of room for him to roam and meet new pups too.
The spots are very close together, no privacy whatsoever, but the lake is beautiful. Every site by the lake is sandy and great. Loons all night singing as well.
The host guy was awful, he was talking about how he needed to lay off the vodka…and he freaked out on us for dogs barking once or twice at him. But otherwise was great!
Its very close to the road, not much privacy. Has a lot of cool mushrooms and tree coverage.
I would suggest more a family campground.
