This campground is a little out of the way from the main roads when car camping and traveling but definitely worth it! The sunsets and nearby views are breathtaking to say the least.

It is inexpensive and has all the amenities that make car camping more comfortable. Since it is a small campground, it is not noisy with other campers, though sites are close together. There is SO much to do in the area, you can keep your stay all about seeing the great outdoors all around you and spend less time in camp.

I set up my backpacking tent and made gourmet camp meals at the picnic tables. There were folks there that clearly do not like to "rough it" as much as I and they all seemed cozy and happy too. Kids played on the paved drive during the days and many families, as well as retired folks were staying too.

I camped at 6-8 campsites on this cross-country trip and this one was by far my favorite. Just for the views alone.
