Smoky Mountains

Good campground especially for the price! Collected our own firewood, but you can bring heat-treated wood that’s bundled and certified by USDA. Tent pads have gravel so definitely bring a sleeping pad.

Great spot right on the Blue Ridge Pkwy!

Camped in one of 5 tent camping spaces. They also have cabins / RV spaces and a motel. Check in was quick and the people running the campground were so friendly and great to deal with! Each site has a water pump and power. And the bathhouses are immaculate - showers are nice and hot and have good pressure. Firewood and fire starter available for purchase. Laundry room on site. Would absolutely stay here again!

Cool little spot at decent price

Very friendly greeting upon arrival, and were given a nice tour of the available sites and amenities. The lakeside campsites are on the beach, they’re a little close together and there isn’t any natural privacy but we were there on a Monday so there weren’t many other campers and we were able to keep plenty of distance. Check weather ahead it got rainy and with that came heavy winds, otherwise would have been a very pleasant night (this is on me!) The property is very well maintained and the bathrooms are IMMACULATE! Showers are coin op and they have a change machine. Also laundry available.

Nice place if you want a little campfire on the beach.

Customer service was amazing.

Cute little campground with a swimming hole!

Multiple campsites right along the creek. Hike up a trail or up through the creek itself to a swimming hole only accessible to campers. Saw some decent sized fish swimming around in there. Hike even further up through the creek and there’s a second swimming area, a little shallower but nice and secluded. Only downside is the noise from the highway, which we could hear from our site (17) but maybe wouldn’t be as noisy if you were in one of the further campgrounds (closer to the swimming hole).

Nice inexpensive stay near VA Beach

Went to VA Beach on a whim with no lodging reserved, and saw the sign for this campground on our way out to Sandbridge Beach. We were able to get a campsite here, at a good price, very last minute on a Friday night in June. Check in was quick, friendly, and we were escorted to our site (how nice!). The tent sites are along a waterway to a boat ramp so in the morning boats will go by, otherwise very peaceful and quiet all night. There's a cool little pavilion close to the tent sites with picnic tables. All in all a very good experience!
