Uneven and Open Camping

This campground had 60+ campsites. The sites were very open and did not appear to be planned very well for camping functionality. The tent sites appeared to be very flat. Many other sites were very uneven and were challenging to get a camper into. The electric boxes in sites were also placed in strange areas (middle of campsite, 10+feet from camper parking pad, etc). The campground was also very open.

We did enjoy the peacefulness of this campground though. Lots of star viewing opportunities. Very limited road noise. Nice hiking trails. The overlook was also a great place to relax.

We definitely would return to this campground for the hiking opportunities; but we would chose to bring our tent instead of our camping trailer.

Open Field Type Camping

This campground is 2 of 3 at St. Croix State Park. This campground has a handful of electric sites and a modern restroom and shower. The sites here are very open and there is little trees or shrubs. Some of the campsite around the very outer edge have some coverage, which is helpful in the hot summer sun.

Popular camper loop

The Riverview loop is 1 of 3 at St. Croix State Park. This loop is where 90% of the electric sites are, but it is also a very open campground. There is a modern restroom and shower, it is also located near a nature store.

Seasonal Site

Family had a seasonal site here; it was a fun family campground. They have a pool, some hiking trails, bathrooms and showers. They also have themed nights.

Small but Relaxing

This campground was small but just far enough from town to make it feel like you left. The only down fall was that you could hear semis on the road very clearly during the evening.

Disappointed with camping but hiking was great!

I was disappointed with camping here. We stayed in a tent site, W##. We felt lucky with this because the W sites were more secluded and you didn't feel like you were on top of your camping neighbors. The bathrooms and showers here were very gross though. The hiking here had great views but trails were not labeled well. The Big Spring was also a great natural water feature to relax in after a hot hike!

Right on the River

We loved that this campground was right on the river; our dog loved thIs. The campsites were very open and train tracks were nearby. There were many mosquitoes during our trip, our campsite was located near a swampy area.

Lake

Our only highlight of camping here was access to Bear Lake

Moose Sightings

We loved camping here. There was plenty of shade and camping lots seemed large. We had many moose sightings in the campground during our stay. Kayaking and swimming in Lake Grandby and hiking nearby areas was a lot of fun.

Great customer service

Customer service here was great. This was a standard RV Resort with pool, nice bathrooms/showers, and store. Road noise was loud, but it was beneficial to us to be so close to Arches National Park.

River

Our campsite was next to the river, we enjoyed the sound of it drowning out vehicle noise from nearby roads. Most campsites are occupied all year round, not much coverage or shade, there is a pool and playground located here.

Great hikes and Camping

We were surprised that there were minimal mosquitoes at Whitewater. We have always enjoyed hiking here too.
