Resort style...

Never have we stayed at a KOA before so this stay was different than anything we’ve experienced before. The pull through site we had included a patio with swing and picnic table- but not much on space… probably only 15 feet between rigs(?) however the campground had plenty of activities and amenities, including mini golf, pool, lodge, dog park, playground, ice cream stand and a BBQ joint, and the mini golf, and food stuffs were all an additional fee. We were only staying one night, and didn’t partake in any of the activities, and at the price of the per night rate, I felt that maybe we wouldn’t stay at another KOA, mostly because of the spacing issue, and the fact that it didn’t really feel like a campground at all… but like I said, we are used to slightly more rustic conditions, lol. It is worth mentioning that just a few miles away is Pictograph State Park- and that was pretty cool, and a beautiful walk after a day of driving!

Beautifully Maintained

On the outskirts of St Cloud, this campground was very well maintained and clean. They have a pool, lodge, bath house and laundry facilities, the sites were pretty large, much larger than data KOA, but not so big or private as some campgrounds we’ve been to. If any thing- the only weird thing is that the campground is situated under some very large high tension power lines…didn’t affect our stay whatsoever, just worth mentioning.

We are traveling cross country, and needed a place to stop in Bismarck, there was only on review on this app so far, but it was a good one, so we went ahead and called. The woman I spoke to was kind and professional, and even texted directions to my phone, and told us to pull on in and get set up before checking in. We got here and she was there to greet us and showed me around. Got all registered and she reminded me that if we needed anything to just let her know. The campground is very full, but quiet and a nice place.

Clean and Comfortable

Nice campground with pool and cute gift shop, but the gem was that even though there were quite a few people waiting to check in the clerks were friendly and efficient. They have laundry and a game room on site, and it seemed like there were plenty of pull through sites.

This was a nice campground with well maintained sites and roads- the bathrooms and shower houses were in pretty good condition, and it was super quiet…..with the exception of the fire crews returning to camp from fighting wild fires…. make sure you bring the big dope- there’s a lot of mosquitos! The campground is between Diamond lake (a short walk away) and Crater lake which is just stunning! If you are anywhere nearby- it’s a MUST SEE!
