The river is nice.. The "playground" is dangerous and very dated. People get drunk and drive like maniacs through the campground at night. Tubing is fun…
We have been going to Bayleys for 5 years now. We typically go for 8-10 days. We love it. There are so many things to do. Kayaking in the marsh, they have kayak rentals too. The pools and Jacuzzi's are clean and beautiful. Golf cart rentals make getting around the huge camp ground a breeze. You can purchase food and drink items at the pool area's including alcohol. They have nightly shows in the theater area. The trolley takes you to the beach and brings you back to camp. There's a water park near by and an amusement park. Its just so relaxing and beautiful there I cant wait until next July!
Customer service is horrible and the seasonal campers are rude. So if you want friendly seasonal campers and good customer service this place is not for you. If you looking for a relaxing safe atmosphere for your family definitely check this place out. The new water park is great, the pools are dated but okay. Make sure you put down the deposit for the key card, if you don't you can not get in and have to walk groceries or whatever else to your site and leave your car outside the gate.
There are many ways to camp at Lone Oaks. Tenting to a RV, very family friendly. There's a full bar with adult only dancing up stairs in the lounge Saturday nights, and a DJ playing dance music for the younger crowed down stairs. The pools are beautiful, great store and the activities are plenty. There is also a hiking trail with some gorgeous views once you get to the top.
