So perfect

This area is huge on Stillwater road so keep going for a spot! We are here in July and found a spot completely secluded and some of the large lots have vault toilets! Which is a real treat when you spent two weeks on dispersed areas all over the west with no bathrooms. Mosquitoes are a little heavy so bring spray. No wildlife spotted but this area did suffer a wild fire so a lot of the trees are burnt. A lot of the spots have fire pits made by rocks but bring wood! The first stops have more Mountain View’s and the farther you drive is next to the water!

Great stop!

This is a 25$ a night stop. Has water fill stations and two bathroom stations with pit toilets that are so clean! We got there at midnight and the camp host came out and talked with us and they had three open spots which was surprising for it being late and during July season. Quiet and spaced out. Amazing fire pit and new picnic tables and a stand for our cooking stove. And cellphone signal which we haven’t had at any spots! Lovely little spot

Long drive!

We had to drive super far to find a spot to stay. But we got lucky. They do have a fire pit and a lot of seclusion. Just a long drive on the dirt road. Bugs can be intense cause you’re next to the lake. The pine beetles have demolished miles and miles of the forest along the road to the campsites so it isn’t the most scenic anymore but Yellowstone has been really affected as a whole by the beetles.

Lots of space

First two spots do have bathrooms, however they are packed. We drove up quite a way and found a spot to stay. Zero wildlife. And the bugs was INTENSE. But plenty of areas to have a campfire and it is secluded and views of the Tetons! And close to everything.

Very secluded

So the road is gravel and pretty far with private property signs on both sides til you get there. Directions take you there with no problem. Two bathroom locations and spots along the creek. No wildlife while we was there. A few other campers but all spaced apart well so it was secluded. It is 15$ and you have a QR code to scan to pay, however there is ZERO signal there to get online to pay so we paid once we left and got back into town for the night we stayed.

Stunning views

This area is completely remote. No other people there. So the base parking area is piles of pavement material. I’m assuming they plan on making it an overflow camping spot since apgar nearby is always full. We stayed here and woke up to multiple work trucks at the bottom but no one said anything to us. The Mountain View’s here are wild. And we heard bear, moose, and a wolf! I don’t know how much longer this will be a free space since they are obviously working on it but it was well worth the stay

Absolutely stunning

This area is so remote and quiet, stars everywhere and the wind is wild! We showed up super late in the evening on a weekend and had zero issues finding a spot. Closest gas station is 10 minutes away for anyone who needs a restroom nearby or a grocery store.
