We stayed here because we work the Brevard Show, and it was amazing! We loved the fallen tree, and so do kids to climb! It was a nice hidden surprise.
Unfortunately it might be taken down, there is however a nest of gopher tortoises under the tree. But all in all the park was great, and had good food when the food trucks came through!
The bathrooms and showers are pretty good too! They get nice and hot!
We stayed in Cumpressco Campground first, and then Ashley. This campground is free to stay in for 7 days, 6 nights. You can leave for a day and come back but you can only book 30 days per calendar year!
Not many campers on the Cumpressco side but tons on the Ashley. Beware however of mating season for the caterpillars! They were everywhere!! No potable water at either site. Bring your own! There is a Porto at the Cumpressco site and an outhouse on the Ashley campsite.
Other than that, it’s beautiful! lives on site if you ever need him! Super nice guy! See you next year!
This campground is located on Private property, and is gorgeous! If you find it and come, please be respectful and Bear aware. It’s a small community and we are grateful for it. Sometimes you want to camp in a nice and quiet place. It’s 30minutes to Juniper Springs or Salt Springs where you can swim in crystalline waters.
