Nice campground with amazing views. Spots are gravel and paved, with nice surrounding grass. River is beautiful and is far away enough from the highway that you don’t hear cars. Nice clean facilities, and they even have a small library!
The Host/Park Ranger was awesome! They will come by and make sure you’ve got everything situated. The sites are pretty basic but nice. Lots of trees for shade. There is one large sink by the bathrooms for washing dishes, but no water by the sites. A little expensive to get in, with no pass it’s 25 to get in the park, 20 to camp. But if you have a pass it will be cheaper. A short drive to the visitors center. Great area and of course a great view of Devils Tower.
Long drive out there with some pretty rough road towards the end. It’s 100% worth it. The view is amazing if you venture beyond the small dirt pad. Some great history and awesome camping. Lots of roads to explore. Be aware that It gets pretty windy up there.
We showed up at 6:00 p.m. went up the right side and had to check every site by either walking down the paths or driving. All were full. There could be many more great sites but were for some reason marked as “no camping”. Definitely need a 4x4 for most of the road on the mountain. Be aware that going down on the left side there are no more sites until you get to the bottom. Great views of the Tetons if you can get there early!
Nice Dispersed Camping. Doesn’t have Grand views of the Tetons but has nice grassy level areas and spots by the creek. If you run stuck there are big grassy sites in the back that could easily accommodate multiple campsites. Some rough road but you’ll be fine with an SUV/truck. Bring bug spray!
Reserve your spot online, pull in before 10:00 p.m and set up! Nice Bathroom and showers. It was a great stop through Montana.
