Beautiful SKP campground and one of the friendliest we’ve ever stayed at. Large roomy site with all the hook ups you’ll need.
We made our camping reservation the day before our arrival. Campground manager Kenny called us the day of our arrival to confirm our arrival time. After arrival Kenny took us directly from our upgraded campsite. Our stay was quiet and restful.
This KOA campground is easily accessible off the highway. They had our reserved site all mapped out and ready for us on our arrival. They also provide a breakfast starting at 7:30 am for $6.40 per adult.
We stayed for a week at Big Chief in the Spring and loved every minute. All the wild flowers were out. Folks had booked up all the fishing charters and were catching lots of fish. The campground staff was great. We stayed in one of the cabins. It was fully equipped with everything we needed. We checked out the campsites and they are spaced out well, seemed level and had full hook ups. We used Big Chief as our base camp and enjoyed checking out the hill country.
We were so fortunate to find Stonewall Lodge and rv Resort. Full hook ups, if that’s what you would like. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful nature drives. We can’t say enough kind words about this lodge and campground.
We spent several nights at this KOA. It's very conveniently located and provided us with a great site and full hook ups. it also has many amenities such as a very nice swimming pool.
City of Brush Campground was a perfect spot for us. We spent one night at a cost of $25.00 per night. This includes 30 amp electricity, water, wifi and a dump station. The city is using a new automated system and it is located at the entrance to the campground. There's a city park, pool and a very cool little museum adjacent to the campground. We had a very quiet nights sleep even though the campground was quite busy.
We spent several nights camping at South Joe Sheldon County Park. Beautiful pull through campsites some full hook ups others with electronic and water. I’ve included some pictures.
Very conveniently located off I-80, Fair price, full hook up and pull through site $33.00.
We spent one night at Indians Dunes National Park and we love this campground. Lots of room for our 15’ Ford F-150 and 19’4” travel trailer. Our campsite was Dunewood Campground, Mather loop, site #1.
My wife, family and friends have camped here from their opening season. This campground is directly across from Michigan Adventure (a wonderful team park and affiliated with Cedar Point). This campground has grown every year and they have add many great family activities.
This will be our third year camping at Holiday Camping Resort. Just a few miles west of US 31. It’s a hilly white pine forest. With several cabins, many tent sites, group campsites and large staggered full hook-up campsite. Joanie (the owner) operates a very nice campground and usually has organized activities, but because of the pandemic she hasn't been able to do them in 2020 and who knows about 2021. This campground reminds me of our beautiful Michigan state parks, but with full hookups. There is a very nice swimming pool, playground and basketball half court for the kids and a small dog run. The campground is close to the small town of Stoney Lake (with a nice little city park on Stoney Lake) there you can swim or launch your kayak, The Hart - Montague bike trail, Country Dairy and Lewis Farms are a few miles away. It’s about a 35 minute drive to Silver Lake.
We’ve camped at Hoffmaster State Park numerous times. Entering the park off of US 31? Don’t forget to stop at Whippy Dip! The campground offers hiking, biking and access to a great nature center. Campsites are just beautiful. Reservations can be made online.
