10 🌟!!!!!!!!

  Cades Cove was amazing.  Our only regret was we were only able to stay one night. The 11 mile loop was a great little drive. 
  We found it to be a very clean campground with close access to all the trails. Waterfalls you can play in, and every amenity I could imagine. 
  I don't have easy access to share all the pictures but will get a couple on here. (After my wife and I got married).   

I came for a 4th of July weekend tent camping one year. In my humble opinion I experienced a party type atmosphere with a bunch of season rv type campers. Tight group of people who spend the summers there. If you have a golf cart it seemed popular. Just not our cup of tea but, if it's yours it might be worth checking out.

We went in May for my birthday. Rained hard one day so our time was short. Ugh… First campground. Drive up, clean, semi secluded, bathrooms with running water/shower, nice little spot. Now the state park!!!! Seemingly endless trails, 6-7 waterfalls? We only experienced a couple this time. Very rough trails available, bat caves, tours, plenty to do for everyone!

We have a blast!!!!! Bring your boat or watercraft! Plenty of lakefront camping spots on the barbie chain of lakes. Several (deep, clean) lakes hooked together by channels. Also hook into that big bass or musky!! It's crowded, pretty quiet usually, no showers or running water bathroom facilities. But the view…

The slough. We like it! I'm being bias due to how close it is to the house. It's $12 a night. Pretty clean campground run by the DNR, lots of acreage to explore. No real trails but if you don't mind roughing it plenty to explore, hunting, fishing, mushrooms, electric motor only boats on the lake. We bring our kayaks. Staff has always been friendly, a sandy type soil so it drains well after rain.
