This place is relatively small, but surrounds a small lake. Sites are close together, but everyone is respectful. Bathrooms leave something to be desired, and there is no family bathroom, but otherwise decent and the water is hot. With a little work this place could be great.
Rv sites are really nice and not on top of each other. Some are close to the water. Lots of clearly marked hiking trails, 3 playgrounds, Frisbee golf and horshoe pits. Really preety and lots of boat docks. Staff are super nice. The only negative is the state of the showers and bathrooms. They are in need of a lot of repair. Heater in the showers and bathrooms didn't work. Water was hot though. Overall, this place is really good for the price. With good restrooms, this place easily be double the nightly rate.
Campground has decent amenities, sites are small and on top of each other. Bathrooms and showers leave a lot to be desired. My site is not what was pictured on the website, and I paid to reserve it, so buyer beware. Camp store is decent, and playground is nice. River swimming is the real attraction, and to my kids it was worth it.
The beach here is amazing. The amenities are less than. It's mid may and the pools are green sludge and the beach bathrooms are out of order. There are no family bathrooms either. The restrooms and showers were clean and in working order. The hotel does have a store, café and arcade. Our campspot was a short walk to the beach which is nice.
Great campground that seems to be expanding and Improving. Bathrooms are excellent. Wifi and cell signal are great. Minutes to the zoo.
Campground is very pretty, lots of sites on the water. Shower house is very nice. Everything is well maintained
Though we are here late in the year, and lots of things are closed, especially area restaurants, this campground has a number of things for kids to do and the beach was great. Wifi works well and the restrooms are great.
Very nice campground, easy to get to. Not much to do there, but view at tier three is amazing. Facilities were brand new, and the wifi was good, cell signal as well.
My kids loved this place, we stayed in site 77. Basically 100ft to the water, sites are not on top of each other. My only gripe is that not every site has its own water. I had run 60ft water hose to the next site over.
We loved our stay here, easy beach access, great pool and store. Lots of family activities. Campground and beach have a lot of rules, so make sure you are prepared.
We had an accident after checking out, they came and picked us up and took care of us while the vehicle was repaired. Can't say enough nice things about the staff. My children loved this place and the many things to do. My only gripes are the hiking maps are no good, and if you go during off season, plan for a lot of the amenities to be closed. We went memorial day and the few days after most of the amenities were closed except pool and the lake. When everything is open it's amazing
It's very close to the water and clean, but only one working bathroom for both loops and no trash cans except for the dumpster at the entrance make this campground less than stellar. Plus side, warm showers.
The sites are private and large, bathrooms are clean and nice. We stayed in B loop, and beach access is close. Only downside is noise from the highway but it dies down around 10pm.
It's a decent enough campground, everyone seems to be on top of each other. Not much in the way of trees, but it's really close to the lake. Bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. Definitely a party campground.
The sites were decent size, bathrooms were clean, showers were nice, bug no warm water. Easy walk to the beach. Highly recommend
The area was pretty, lots of shade, camp sites were big and nice. The restrooms and showers were in great shape. My real gripe was that it's right under the flight line for planes landing at RDU. They woke me up multiple throughout the night as they are very low. If it weren't for that, I would highly recommend this camp ground as everything else was awesome. One thing to note, when I was there, there was a big thunderstorm, that could have had something to do with the abundance of low planes, but would have to camp here again to be sure.
