The Headwaters area is a prime location for wildlife watching and photography. Walk along the banks of Polecat Creek through wildflower meadows and conifer forests to capture that perfect photo of a beaver, moose, elk, bison, bear, or birds. (Be sure to maintain appropriate distance!) Although soaking is not permitted, Huckleberry Hot Springs is an easy 2.5-mile loop that starts at Polecat Creek.__ The Flagg Canyon trail is a good option for all ability levels. This 5.1-mile out and back hike winds through meadows and cliffs along the Snake River, and features a waterfall. There is plenty of wildlife to see in this area, including marmot, elk, and white-throated swift.__
Headwaters campground offers camping for tents, full-hookup camping for RVs, and hard-wall Camper Cabins. Each tent site has a gravel parking space for up to two vehicles, and tent pads for up to two tents. All RV sites are pull-through with gravel parking space for one RV and one tow vehicle with a maximum total length of 45 feet. Our RV sites offer full-hookups including sewer, water, and 20-, 30-, and 50-amp electric outlets. Propane is available for purchase at the campground office. Headwaters Camper Cabins are scattered throughout the campground and include double-double or double-single bunk-style beds. While the bunks are padded, bedding and pillows not included. Guests are encouraged to bring their own linens, however a limited quantity of sleeping bags, pillows and blankets are available on a first-come basis for a nightly fee. Our Camper Cabins do not offer electricity or private restrooms, but do include a lantern. One of the many reasons visitors return to Headwaters at Flagg Ranch year after year is its close proximity to Yellowstone___s south entrance, just a few miles north. But while it wouldn___t be difficult to spend all your time exploring our country___s very first national park (and the second-largest in the lower 48 states), there is much to see and do in the opposite direction as well. Take a self-guided tour of Grand Teton National Park via the 43-mile Scenic Loop Drive, offering an opportunity to photograph the park___s famous landscape and local wildlife. Spend a few hours at Colter Bay Village, located about 30 minutes south of Headwaters Campground, where you can rent a kayak or canoe, take a guided boat ride to the majestic base of the Teton Range, or just enjoy lunch and the stunning lake view from the marina. Continue on and stop in at the historic Jackson Lake Lodge for its famous huckleberry milkshakes and spectacular Teton views through 60-foot tall wall-to-wall windows. Sinks Canyon State Park is located in west central Wyoming just south of Lander, WY. The park is situated in the Wind River Mountains on the middle fork of the Popo Agie River. The site is named after distinct geologic phenomena in which the Popo Agie river disappears into a limestone cavern and reappears a quarter mile down canyon in a placid pool filled with 8 - 12 lb. rainbow trout. The site has a variety of natural habitats which creates diversity of flora and fauna. The canyon provides a variety of recreational opportunities including nature studies, photography, camping, fishing, hiking, world class rock climbing and access to miles of mountain bike trails.
The Sinks Canyon Campground has 14 campsites. It is located between Popo Agie Falls and Sinks Canyon State Park, where the Popo Agie River disappears into the side of a mountain and then mysteriously reappears farther down the way. There is a trailhead near the falls that penetrates the Popo Agie Wilderness. There is a nearby rock climbing area on BLM lands. No trailers over 20 feet. Popo Agie is pronounced "puh-POE-zhuh." Amenities include one vault toilet, picnic tables, cook grates, and potable water.
Primitive camping with no electricity, each site has a firepit and table. There are 3 vault toilets throughout the campground Potable water is available along with firewood. All campsites and Yurts are reservable only. Call the Call Center at 1-877-996-7275 to make a reservation.

Highline RV Park is located just south of Boulder, Wyoming at the base of the Wind River Range. We have 47 sites with full hookups, including four buddy sites for those traveling with friends or family. With over four acres of open lawn, you also have the option to dry camp or tent camp. And if you didn't bring your own tent, no problem! Enjoy a stay in our teepee or wall tent!
From our park you can explore the lakes and back country of the Wind River Mountains, spend time in Pinedale, make a day trip to Jackson and Teton National Park, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful setting we offer. We're also in a great location for those going to and from Yellowstone. We'd love to be your destination, or a stop along the way.
There are 24 sites in Popo Agie Campground (see campground map). Several at the lower end are walk-in tent campsites. Tents or campers can be used at all other sites. Large RV sites are very limited. There are no showers or hook-ups.
Most summers there is a camp host at both Popo Agie and Sinks Campgrounds.
Showers are available for a small fee in Lander at the community swimming pool (The Bruce Gresly Aquatic Center) during open swimming hours. Call 307-332-2272 for information on hours.
All camping in the canyon is first come first served – there is no reserving of sites.
All camping is primitive camping: tables, fire rings and pit toilets. There is drinking water available at all campgrounds, but no hookups.
Firewood is provided to campers on the state park (donation suggested).

Prepare to be Fully Self Contained and *Self Sufficient No Office to Check-in. Go to the Prairie and park at a picnic table. Normally, 1-6 parties camping per night.
We Do Not have a dump station or hookups. This is Rustic, Primitive, Boondocking, Dry Camping. Whatever you call, "No Hookups", No Electric, No Water and No Dump Station. Although you can get water in your RV and fill your bottles. Dumping any sewage or grey water is Prohibited by Law and each carries a hearty fine of $500 dollars.
ENJOY a Large fully equipped Community Kitchen, All water is deep well, fresh, cold, potable and very palatable. Outdoor shower (Seasonal, when the freezing starts/stops - Sept-June), One Large Community Firepit at the Kitchen, Internet and Camp tables. 20 acres of Prairie Land, Horses, Chickens, Farming and Gardens.
Wander and allow your dogs and kids to run about - keeping in mind that we do have free-range chickens closer to the house. The back 10 acres is also available to run dogs.
Our one dog Brandon is a black and white ranch dog that is super-friendly and smart too. The neighbor's dogs do not know their boundaries, they (including Brandon), listen to "Out" or "Go Home"!
Short term 1 night = max is 3 weeks, must be fully contained with a Quiet Generator, 60 decibels or less. No Loud Gens allowed for more than 2 hours for charging batteries during daytime hours. If I can hear it in the house, I will be out to school you. (Gen off by 9PM on a 7AM).
There is currently 1 Port a Pot on site dumped each Wednesday. Please guys and gals, don't piss on the floor. If you think you need to squat over the toilet, bring your sani-wipe and take a seat, no dribbles, that makes the place stink! CLOSE the LID.
Please clean up after dogs. All trash goes in the dumpster on the way out. Kitchen TRash should not Contain dog or baby poo. Raking the ground free of ciggie butts and small wrappers is very helpful.

22 miles to Kurt Gowdy State Park where you can rent a kayak or go for a hike to the Hidden Falls, Vedauwoo (Vee dah voo) hiking trails. Check out the Bunk House Bar and Grill for a great food with a western experience.
