White Mountain Road

This area is easy to find. Only a couple of miles on a very good dirt road. Once you enter the camping area there are lots of camping spots and the road is mostly good. I could easily get my 33 foot travel trailer to at least 6 or 8 spots and smaller rigs could reach many more. The views are stunning, overlooking a huge valley with the interstate and the town far below. It’s mostly quiet with just a hint of the interstate a couple of miles away. I may have just lucked out but it was not windy and there were no bugs.

Gravel road was very easy to get up. Further on the path, it did get rockier though. The view is so cool.

Windy as others have stated and no cover. Otherwise a nice place to stay. 2 other spots near me and that’s it as far as I know but I didn’t continue to explore. I’ll probably head down to the fire gorge south of Green River for the weekend though.

We stayed at a campground in town for what was going yo be a night and scouted the area out. We are about 60’ truck and fifthwheel. The road up coming from the east was pretty easy though bumpy and on a climb it’s more difficult to slow roll, sites are pretty easy to find using different tools but the main area really only has one spot for anything around 40’ to be able to easily turn around without driving off the packed road. Theres a T-Mobile tower not far off though so if you need internet it’s great service. It’s very very dry up there and they had a fire pickup a couple days after we left. The view is incredible and they have nice firepits but it’s not a Spot you’d want to venture far at night and navigate to. Be careful if you put in your gps coming from the east! It takes you to a dirt road with a 27% grade up and over the mountain! Don’t try to drive down it with a big rig!

A few people dispersed in area. Stayed in one of the first turn outs. Quiet, warm but good breeze helped. Dog had plenty of room to roam

As reviews said, it’s definitely windy. But it was not miserable in my opinion, just took a little adjusting. The views are pretty spectacular and wasn’t too busy, although there were one or two times I felt exposed because there’s not a lot to hide behind if trying to relieve yourself. But for a one night Saturday-Sunday stay, it served its purpose well. Just watch out for trash/glass and try to pick some up if ya can do it stays clean!

This was a beautiful site with lots of space provided. In addition, there are LOTS of sites! The road was in good condition, but if you want to go further up the mountain may need 4-wheel drive. Cell service was good as well. I have AT&T and had 3-4 bars the entire time. The only thing that wasn’t great was the wind, but that’s to be expected with a mountaintop. Overall, this was one of my favorite sites from my most recent trip.

We are into some truck issues when passing through and had to find a place to stay for a few days. This worked out great. We had a 24 ft camper and trailer with two side by sides. We had plenty of room for both. Lots of places to choose from. All open and easy to turn around campers. Road was in good shape. No issues with a Tahoe pulling camper. The views were great but it was windy. We could ride the ATVs from campsite and had hundreds of miles of trails to choose from. Saw wild horses.

A great little spot with a wonderful view. Little bit or driving on a rough dirt road. Would go to this spot again, would not go back for rent camping though. Too windy

Great stop at the top of a small mountain. Easy dirt road access to many camping spots. Att had great service, very windy and some road noise from the interstate. 10/10 would recommend.

I came from the north and did the scenic drive and was looking for the campsite. One camper was already parked and that was my signal. No signage. But you'll see stone fire rings. Beautiful views, but this particular night the wind beat the camper up all night.

Large enough for multiple rigs. Cool overlook down to Green River. Quiet. If this site is full there are other areas to you can pull into. Dirt road with some washboards and ruts.
