Buffalo Train
The train to view and feed the Buffalo was really cool. Restaurant was also excellent. Friendly staff!

We pulled in during “Frontier Days”. The Dead Heads were playing a concert so it was WILD. The rv spots are pretty close together, but the day after the concert (Tuesday) it cleaned up FAST. There was basically no one here after.
You can pet bison, which is worth it. The rest of the prices are geared towards kids. Sorta run down for the prices you pay.
Definitely a ONE night stay sort of place.
More KOA than Dude Ranch.
Spot 66 was a straight mud pit.
Would recommend a “deluxe” spot.
RV park has level gravel lots with full hookups. Right off interstate on Exit 2, as you enter WY. Camp store has good supply of drinks, clothes and souvenirs. Cafe was closed but did look good. Ate at Senators Steakhouse and had buffet, including beef prime rib, bison ribs and bison burgers. Wednesday night they had open lic with live music. Bar had good selections of alcohol including some expensive wines. Great service.
Great friendly service at check in. Since we were here late in October, there were plenty of sites available - gravel, but we’ll maintain and very level. The one drawback was the staff had three overnight visitors and they placed us right next to each other. Rather crowded and we realized how narrow the sites were.
Enjoyed the camping, the Bison train, and the Senators Steakhouse with live music on Friday and Saturday nights!
Took the feed the bison train ride. Which was totally fun. Getting ready to go have a buffet at the ranch. Sounds amazing. (Buffet)
Neat idea behind the campground. Was VERY dirty- trash all over the place. Did get a good walk around the campground. Staff was nice, area was nice. Sites are tight and again, very trashy.
Only stayed one night but it was pretty nice stay. They have a breakfast service which was decent. Full hookups, pull-ins, picnic tables, and the water pipes are protected against low temperatures.
They offer air for your tires and have propane available for purchase.
Dusty but that was pretty much only bad thing, campsite close to each other but thanks goodness for friendly neighbors. Nice staff and on property steakhouse which was excellent!!! Bison train tour super fun and great conductor. Highly recommend if bison are your thing, And good food.
Lots of things to do! Close to Cheyenne. Restaurant was a rip off but it could have been great with a little cleaning, planning, and customer service.
Wonderful friendly staff.at the trading post, the escort was super nice and so helpful. Horse drawn wagon ride to senator steak house. Omg absolutely fresh and delicious meal. Thanks!!
Honestly, when we first pulled in, we were a little put off by the proximity to the highway, and a policy they have to keep your cc information on a handwritten card. We expressed our concerns about putting cc info on a handwritten card, and they allowed us to stay without doing that. We dry camped in our rv, and used our generator. They allowed us to use a dump station on the way out at no charge, and we topped off our potable water as well. The highway noise was very minimal, the sites were level and very well taken care of. They had FHU available, but we just stayed overnight. On site they had showers, bathrooms, laundromat, a large souvenir gift shop, lots of animals, several activities, and even a steakhouse! We were very pleased overall!
I highly recommend looking at the website. Lots to do here. Pet friendly. Laundry room, showers, market available. A steakhouse right next door. Definitely would stick to chain restaurants if you’re wanting a steak though. Or any food for that matter. It’s definitely gorgeous here.
