Our first time boondocking and this was a beautiful, quiet, safe place right outside of the Grand Canyon. About 15 minute drive from Bright Angel Lodge. Drive past all the No camping signs on Moqui road, go past the stables and you will find many spots to set up camp. Some big spot for RVs and small spots for cars & tents. Each site had a fire circle made with rocks, some even had wood gathered. We did 2 nights Saturday and Sunday. There were 6 horses grazing near our site which was awesome to see up close. Fellow campers are friendly and wave as you drive past. I can’t believe this place is free!
