Nice Tent Camping with amazing view

Was able to spend a night at Buzzards Roost campground while visiting Lake Murray State park.  Our tent site was at the point and provided us with great views of the marina, and Tucker Tower.  There is plenty of parking and the tent pads were nice and level with plenty of space for larger tents.  Each fire pit had it own grate that provides a cooking surface over the fire; however, must were damaged but still usable.  Bath house is a little older but the amenities were nice.  There are 4 showers that are available with great pressure and temps.  All but a few campsites were on the water so it makes it easy to put in a small water craft or even pull a larger boat up to your site.

Clean and Nice Views

White Catfish Cove is a nice and clean campground that host amazing views of the lake.  the Bathrooms are modern and the showers do take quarters to operate.  i think a 7 min shower is $1.50 but well worth the hot shower.  the RV pads are gravel and can be a little soft so bring some platforms to put the jacks down on.  there is alot of wildlife you will see in the area including ducks and deer walking through the campground. From the site i was at it made launching the Kayaks very simple and we could paddle across to the marina with little effort.  overall this is a great place i will visit again.

Nice Area limited Bathrooms

First weekend of October stayed an the Caney Creek campgound just outside of Kingston, OK.  the campground was very clean and nice however, they only had 1 of the 4 bathroom/showers unlocked. then on Sunday morning they lock the 4th Bathroom/shower (very disappointed).  when the Bathroom was open it was extremely clean and each had it's own private toilet, sink, and shower.  at the campsite, most campsites had a covered picnic table and a large fire pit nearby.  the rv pads were gravel at best but most were level.  overall it was a decent place and because of my style of camping i will be back.

Perfect late Fall through Spring

If you are wanting a nice camping experience, you need to try out Roman Nose State Park.  During the Fall and Winter months the lake provides great Trout Fishing that is stocked every 2 weeks.  the Campgrounds are well kept with fire pits, Grills and several sites protected by trees.  The new restrooms at the Canyon Vista are extremely nice.  it has 4 individual Bath Suites; however bring quarters for the hot showers.  The Park itself also offer horsebacking, Canoes, Paddleboats, Swimming pool, Miniature Golf, and a full 18 hole Golf course.  this is a great place for hiking as well.
