Got here after 11pm on a Wednesday night and found only 1 free spot. The place was packed. The sites we saw were fairly spread out. Awesome rock formations all around with trails throughout the area. We were there for only one night, but wish we could have stayed longer to explore.
We had a good spot in F loop, site 297. The river is only a short walk behind the site. Other sites were relatively far away and the bathroom is right there.
Found a large spot about a mile up the road, on the left side. The road was pretty good, even for our overloaded car and rented trailer. The spot was large enough to turn around and easily maneuver the trailer. We got there on a Thursday evening at about 8pm. Nobody passed our campsite that whole evening, aside from a deer. The only downside was the crazy amount of mosquitoes. Bring bug spray!
Nice campsites surrounding "hamburger rock". Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Toilets are close by. Amazing views on all sides. We got here on a Sunday evening in May and there were plenty of spots left.
