Friendly staff, firewood and ice on site, the riverside tent sites are the way to go, can watch zip liners and rafters go by. Bring a float to tie out from your campsite for some good river fun!!

A short hike down from Gregory Bald. Beautiful views and gorgeous for sunrise and sunset. NOTORIOUS FOR PROBLEM BEARS (and wild hogs) so be sure to be super vigilant in hanging everything that has a smell. Spring is unreliable, so would be a good idea to refill on water on climb up in case it isn’t usable. Verizon at least gets spotty service here, as a solo female backpacker that is more comforting to my mother than me, but it’s helpful nonetheless.

Only a couple uphill miles from Twentymile ranger station. Great for splitting the climb go Gregory Bald over two days, which makes for a more relaxing hike. Reliable water source on both sides of campsite. Two working bear hanging systems. Hammockable trees all around. Lots of hemlock and other downfall for firestarting.
