Lack of road signs coming in make for a lot of confusion. Need more instructions posted for the off season campers. We are not local this is all new to us.
They are not staffed for the season yet so you book online or once you get to the site you can scan a QR code to see if your site is booked. We booked online.
Not campground map posted so you know which way to get to your site.
Not all COE campgrounds are created equal.
The road to the campground are awful! Narrow and full of pot holes. Oklahoma doesn't like the COE.
I have seen worse but this is the 5th Army Core of Engineers site we have stayed at and this is the redheaded step child.
With all of that said the views are beautiful, see my first picture.
We squeezed our 35ft 5th wheel into a weird spot because we did come from the best angle.
The map I saw online when I booked had me thinking the spot was set up different.
Could not be more excited to see a place just before it is ready and open to full camping. We have no hook ups but see how awesome this will be.
They are in the process of setting up 20 sites that will be 70 feet long (back in I think) with electric and water.
Warning there is a chance you are not able to tour the old silo, be respectful!
They will have some things to do like 🪓 throwing.
At this time pack out what you brought in.
There is a Dollar General near by and other things depending on how far you want to drive.
Quiet and peaceful.
Hope the owners all the best!
Pricing is a rough guesstimate
Far enough from the 40 you can sleep without the constant highway noise.
Full hook up's however the elbow for the tank won't attach. 30/50 Amp and water.
Pull through site
Seems quite but we are staying mid week.
Passport America has 3 day limit can extend for a little bit more per day.
Owner very nice and hospitable
Love it. Small and NO highway noise! One of the most level spots on gravel we have had.
Yes the Mini golf putting green is needing some love I do not care. Pool is close and I am fine with that. One bathroom is under remodeling but the other one is clean and has a wall unit to keep the temperature even.
The two walking trails around the lakes are neat.
Full hook up's including cable. If you do not have the female to female cable connection they are available for a dollar at the Registration office.
Barry was very friendly and professional.
Propane, washer and dryer and full hookups. Pull through and back in as well.
Park is expanding
Fairly quiet can hear minimal highway noise, slept through fine.
Pricing good.
Roads through the park are hard packed. Campsite are sandy or grass.
Our digital antenna does not pick up any stations.
Small grocery store in one direction and Publix in the main part of Live Oak.
