Holiday weekend

Camped here on July 4th weekend. The lake sounded busy, but there were lots of spots available. There are several pit toilets, dumpsters, and water fill stations throughout. Sites are decent sized, but not pull through. Many connect with pathways if you’re in a group. $17 per site first come first serve self registration.

River access

Easy river access with canoe racks. Rustic and simple sites. Well maintained pit toilets. Each site equipped with picnic table, fire pit, and bench. The campground does not appear to be frequently monitored. We noticed several sites were well over capacity, and occupied sites without reservation notes on the site poles. Overall, it was quiet during quiet hours, clean, and campers had high utilization of the river access.

Location!!

If you like to get in touch with nature while camping this is not it. However, if you’re looking for the ‘Zion experience’ it’s here. Nuts and bolts- location is prime! There are flush toilets, drinking water, and few minute walk to the visitor center, shuttle, town, and a couple trails. However, campground is crowded, kind of loud, and almost no privacy/shade depending where you’re at. With adjusted expectations, I’d definitely stay again.

Best kept secret!

Arrived and only a handful of sites were taken. I took my time picking out a site that was private. All of the sites are different, so it’s helpful to get out of the car to check out what will work for you. The camp hosts called right back and answered my questions. Gorgeous views, especially sunrise! Only negative is that the pit toilets were infested with flies.

Better than expected

Arrived in evening as a stopping point. It was a bit loud but right at quiet time everyone was silent until after quiet ours ended. The campground trail was nice and the amenities were surprisingly well maintained. Hot shower in private shower room, flush toilet, well lit and not over crowded.

Peaceful

Needed a place to stop before Zion. About 25 min from the park. Quiet, only $5, and clean bathrooms. I arrived in the evening and only 8-10 of the sites were occupied. All others were quiet and respectful. Variety of shaded spots.
