Secluded

Nice secluded camp site. Pros: privacy, river access, sunny. Cons: trash and glass scattered throughout the site. Freeway noise is very loud

Great dispersed camping

Lots of options in the area. Some sites were close together while many were nice and secluded. Our only complaint was that our site was right off the road and we experienced moderate traffic which caused a lot of dust. We had a nice short walk through a secluded walk in site that led to a rocky river bed. We also had a horse trail across the road that we walked. Lots of wild flowers to enjoy.

Not ideal for camping

I might have given a better rating if we got one of the nicer camp sites, but the only ones left were wide open areas with a ton of rocks. The road in was okay at first, but the farther you go the bumper it gets. We didn't have much privacy at camp and there were trash and toilet paper everywhere. The river was really nice to swim in which was a plus. People were quiet and respectful around our site which was another plus. We stayed one night and moved on.

One night stay

Nice open campsites, but glass everywhere. We stayed at one of the first sites and found gladd scattered throughout the site. We were only staying for one night so we didn't bother looking at others. The site had amazing views. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful but scary road!

We drove down this road and found a nice area to sleep for a night. The road to get in was very rocky and steep! We decided to go out a different way and it was even worse then the way in. Luckily our promaster van was able to get us out safely. I definitely recommend a high clearance vehicle for this road.

Only stayed one night but will be back!

Beautiful area with amazing views. The camp sites looked well kept and the bathrooms were decent. We were just passing through so only stayed one night but we will definitely be back. The road to get to the campground was slick with snow and we needed to put Chains on our promaster van. A little bumpy bit nothing too crazy! You have to go through one gate that has a private property sign next to it, but that property is off the main road. Keep going up the road and you will find the loop of campsites.
