Nice facilities & still plenty of wildlife

While the sites are a little crammed in, we enjoyed the level sites and company. The bathrooms were very well maintained and access to a 120v outlet saved our tails since we ended up in the non-generator loop due to business. This campground had a tight ranger presence, which is reassuring considering we’re pretty sure lots of wildlife visited throughout the night. Would revisit for sure

Crisp mountain air

Joined by fellow campers in the group campsite, this place had a beautiful sunrise accompanied by gorgeous golden beech trees. Plenty of room to spread out amongst the grounds. Pit toilet was decent and parking was enough for a busy fall weekend. Would definitely recommend

Be prepared, but well worth the adventure

8 miles is pretty accurate of a round trip. It's a lot downhill until you get to the falls then you gotta hike all the way back out. There are several spots along the way to camp if you want including a creekside, bluff view, and directly next to the falls. Pack a water filter and pack in/out everything

Pack your inner tube!

This is a great spot if you either want to go rafting for a weekend or spend the day tubing the lower Ocoee and have a campground all ready for you

Primitive camping bliss

Several different ways to hike in and many different sights to see. Definitely plan on revisiting. The waterfall here can be close to 25-30 ft. If you're adventurous it's definitely worth a quick plunge

Great waterfalls

Plenty of hikes that lead to wonderful waterfalls and great scenery. My favorite is the cable trail. If i recall it's not far from the campsite

Entrance into dark sky zone

Camped here a few years ago and got wonderful night sky shots. Definitely worth a stay if you're visiting Big South Fork.Great campers and great scenery

Secluded hike in

One of the only dark sky zones in TN. Great for milky way/ night sky pictures. Quite a bit of elevation change so take that into account

Wonderful climbing heaven

You can't beat a campsite with a brewery attached. Wonderful climbing spots only a short jot away. My favorite spots are along the bluff. Will definitely revist again. Also gpr some reason i saved the wifi. You only get it next to the double wide though. Lilly pad campground wifi: Gracefulsky227. Have a brew for me until i visit again soon!

Excellent place

Not a bad place to camp out, great trails, waterfalls, and location. Will definitely have to revisit

Scottish-esque hills

One of my top 5 state campgrounds. Will definitely be back again soon. Wild panoramic views and access to the Appalachian trail only a few miles away

Primitive beauty

A wonderful campsite only .5 mile away from the wonderful Gregories bald. Bring bear spray if you can. Both times I've camped here I've seen scat right on the trail. Since pictures below are of the trail close to campsite

A classic spot along the Cherohola Skyway

A well maintained campground with beach access to a man-made lake. Only minutes from the famous views of the Cherohola

Great gem spot

There are a couple if scattered campsites within this wilderness. One being very close to a waterfall. Definitely would recommend to a friend

Great gem spot

There are a couple if scattered campsites within this wilderness. One being very close to a waterfall. Definitely would recommend to a friend. I haven't camped on the eagles bluff, but given the topo map, I'd imagine it would be fabulous

Great climbing, better pizza

It's hard to pass up a site like this with all the amenities it provides at a reasonable price. Showers, laundromat, and gear storage. The climbing community is great, and the pizza is wonderful

Great find

There's a great watering hole nearby that's perfect for a mid summer dip

An unforgettable beauty

It has the potential to be a little crowded, but to be able to take a dip in the creek mid summer is priceless. One of my favorite swimming holes is here

One of my absolute favorites!

Very cool, rustic, and secluded site only a few miles from a great panoramic view ontop or max patch. My favorite thing about this site is all the moss scattered throughout

Hidden gem

As close as it is from popular hikes and vistas, its a hidden beauty. Pretty typical site but still worth visiting
