The view of the night sky was incredible. Driving past Buffalo to get into the camp was wicked cool. Being woken up by Prarie dogs… I guess pretty cool and part of the experience. A coyote was 100 yards from the tent in the morning. So if your looking to see some wildlife I definitely recommend. It was clean and quiet but so small you can hear a conversation that someone is having across the camp.
Was able to find a spot in the dark and get set up away from people and close to the lake. Camping was peaceful but the best part was the pictures I got of the lake and the night sky. I was woken up quite early from a passing train so if you plan to sleep in good luck.
Pulled in about 8 pm, you park on the edge of the road around a sharp corner. Walk through a fence and there is the campground. I saw trash everywhere including the parking area. The place looked like it had a huge party recently. Needless to say I kept driving.
