This place needs to be patrolled by law enforcement. Vagrant drug users acting crazy in the middle of the night.

This place is dump. I've had more pleasant stays in Walmart parking lots with homeless people for neighbors. The people running the place seem to hate their customers and have nothing in the way of Christian kindness. Everyone that I had the displeasure of interacting with had a level of rudeness and pretentiousness inversely proportionate to their IQ.
This place needs to be nuked. No idea why people destroy areas so badly that it prevents future use.
As the title says, crowded area and very dusty.
It's really pretty up on the mesa, but… the road in is rough washboard all the way in, there is quite a bit of trash, and very crowded.
Easily one of me and my partners favorite places to camp! The roads were no problem for our Subaru and the campsites were clearly marked and easy to find. There were plenty of other campers so safety was no concern while out in the backcountry. All this while being close to the wonderful amenities of the town of Crested Butte for those nights you need to get back to civilization.
Recreation.gov and The National Forest/Parks need to do something about reserved sites being unoccupied - it's getting really bad.
Upper Lehman is not RV/trailer friendly, but sites 1, 3, and 17 are the best options.
