convenient. right off the highway. no frills. good fishing in More’s creek.
Friendly folks and very clean facilities. Exactly what you expect from a KOA.
This campground was recommended to me by some Boise locals. I arrived at dusk and it was very crowded. Short walk to the hot springs. They’re not that hot, and there were 50 people scrambling for a spot. It is right off the road, so it’s at least convenient. Facilities were clean.
Standard fare for a national forest campground. Pit toilet was as clean as can be expected. Nice little river near the campsites for gathering water or cooling off.
This place is amazing. Clean, convenient, and right on a productive stretch of the Minam River. Near the confluence of the Minam and Wallowa rivers, this is a perfect base camp for exploring the waters and towns of the Wallowa mountains. An outfitter/camp store sits a half mile upriver, and the towns of Lostine, Wallowa, Enterprise, Joseph, and Elgin are nearby. For $6 (!) you get a great spot literally just a few dozen feet from the water. Fan-freaking-tastic! Oregon parks are the best.
This was a welcome respite for a weary traveler. The sites and facilities were clean and spacious. The views of the Snake River were fantastic and the interpretive Oregon Trail exhibit is interesting. The ONLY drawback is a bit of highway noise, as the campground is just a few hundred feet from I84, but, hey, that’s also why it was so convenient!
