Wonderful waypoint!

We stopped here as an overnight stop from Wichita, KS headed to Sedona, AZ. The host was so nice and friendly and wanted to make sure we were setup properly for very cold temps that night. Tucumcari is a bit forgotten. I suggest, if you are reading this, REMEMBER TUCUMCARI NM and the name Blaze-n-Saddles! The sites were level and all the hookups worked. WiFi was good. It was easy in and out. The facilities were clean and they have a great rec room with DVDS to take and watch and return. We would definitely stop again.

Beautiful State Park that is removed from the city

This is an absolutely beautiful state park in the Savannah area. It is well shaded. It is also gated which is a nice touch and added security. The great shaded spaces with gorgeous trees leads to little to no cell service. No chance of getting satellite either.

It is close to Savannah (about 20 minutes). Where you can have some of the best food in the south and a great time.

The park can get very busy however.

What a great place and close to Savannah

I used to live in Savannah and never knew this place was here! What a beautiful farm, lakes, and RV park. There are even horses and goats to see! The sites are all powered and have city water and each site also has sewer hookup. The sites are close but not unreasonably close together. Their office staff are some of the most wonderful people I've met on the road. The office store has basic necessities for any RV'er and camper. I have been really impressed. To top it all off, 3 nights cost me what 1 night would be at a cheap hotel in Savannah. I would very much recommend this campground to my RV'ing friends.

MY ONLY complaint had nothing to do with the site or the facilities. Our neighbors had a dog and 3 grandkids that ran through our site often. This is a family friendly park. I appreciate that very much. I just wish some people were more respectful of others.

One night, but great!

This park has great ranger staff at the gate and roads were well marked. The grounds were very well kept. Our site was fairly level easy to get into and pull through. The facilities for the bathroom were also very clean. I would definitely go back.

Great campsite for visiting Acadia

We stayed at Somes Sound Campground for 5 days. It was extremely pleasant. Our site was on a hill but getting the camper in was easy. Water pressure was low, but the WiFi was awesome. The young children were a little loud at times, but ok. There were several 1 or 2 night neighbors in tents. But there was plenty of firewood available cheap. The bathrooms were clean and well placed. It was also on the Somes Sound / Atlantic Ocean. The views were breathtaking.
