We wanted to stay at Creekfire for a couple reasons: (1) wanted somewhere we haven't been before but not too far from home and (2) I wanted to visit downtown Savannah…Creekfire met both those. It was an easy 4.5 hour drive, right off the highway and about 15 minutes from diwntown Savannah. The RV resort has lots of activities: heated pool, hot tub, lazy river (closed while we were there due to the cold), pool tables, ladder ball, ping pong table, outdoor chess, fishing (lake front sites are definitely our favorites), golf cart rental, picnic table and firepit at site and a shuttle to downtown Savannah on certain days. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Only a couple cons, but for us not worth taking a star away: very few trees (I would imagine in summer the heat and bugs would not make for ideal camping), restaurant is only opened Wednesday-Saturday (we were there Saturday to Wednesday). We will most definitely be back with friends that will be staying in their cabins!
We had a soccer tournament in Melbourne Beach so we were on a search for a place to stay in our travel travel for the weekend. Outdoor Resorts was the perfect choice! Yes there are many permanent residents but everyone was super friendly and we never felt out of place. Connie in the front office was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was so helpful and always available if we had any questions. We had a site right on the river and close to the pool. After a long day on the soccer pitch we would relax and fish right off the dock on our site… it was just perfect and we highly recommend Outdoor Resorts Melbourne Beach ⛱
We stayed at site 105 (full hook-up, $45 per night) and it was perfect 👌 Neighbors only on one side, close to pool and a short walk to Convict Spring. Catch & release pond for fishing is also super close. Friday night bingo and Saturday has pigeon races, chicken poo 💩 bingo and trivia/karaoke. You can rent kayaks or canoes to take up the Suwannee River. Very dog 🐕 friendly; our Goldens loved swimming in Convict Springs. We will definitely be back!!
You can get a RV site through Westgate which is more of a field or through River Ranch RV Resort which has full hook-ups. We stayed on a waterfront site at River Ranch RV Resort and it was perfect! We were able to fish right off the dock at our site, there was a fit pit and grill, as well as seating outside (each site could be configured differently). At Westgate River Ranch (walking distance from our site but still got a golf cart) we went to the rodeo on Saturday night, did a swamp buggy ride, skeet shooting, petting zoo and rode a mechanical bull… and there was still more we could have done but ran out of time since we still wanted to relax some 🙃 If you're looking for a great site with tons of activities available River Ranch RV Resort is the place for you!
If you are looking to stay at a beachside RV resort with a large pool look no further! There are two pools: a large pool for everyone and a smaller adult only pool with hot tub. The location is perfect with several restaurants and a grocery store close by. Review the map before selecting your site as some are tight but many are pull thru making it easier. The roads are dirt and hold water after a rain but nothing major. Site #81 is a pull-thru/back-out site that is close to the beach walkway. This site has a covered patio with a picnic table. Our 26' travel trailer fit plus a vehicle with no problem. We will definitely be back!
