Awesome campground!

Truly enjoyed a long weekend exploring the trails and sitting by the lake. Well maintained. Great folks. Beautiful lots. We will be back!

This has become our favorite campground

This has become our favorite place to camp.  Friendly staff,  clean property,  beautiful lake and beach.  Even the picnic tables are top notch.  Can't wait to go back again and possibly become a season camper

mixed feelings 😕

Upon arrival friendly staff greeted us. Bath houses are clean and well maintained.  Our site was not clean and ready.  Picnic table looked like it was not cleaned since last season and the fire pit was full of rubbish.  Had campers behind us who played music so loud we couldn't hear each other talk.  I asked the gentleman to please turn it down and they did slightly. Another camper also asked them to turn it down and again it was very slight.  Well after midnight music continued.  No park ranger made rounds until Saturday morning and throughout the day.

The lake is gorgeous this weekend and we enjoyed riding bikes and walking the park.

May be back to try again.

Clean and well maintained

Fun times during Covid-19 on Memorial Day Weekend. The bike/walking paths for kids/adults is a great addition for campers with young kids. The shower houses are clean as well as the grounds. The lake was high this weekend and the beach was a bit under water, but still fun. The boats and sounds of summer with children laughing and splashing while adults sit on the sand. Easy access in and out of the campgrounds as well as the sites. Sites were decent size and the new section has very little shade. Great place and can't wait to go back!

Smaller sites, but lots of shade!

Loved the trees and shade. The lots were small and some on hills. But we loved the fire ring setting down in, lower than the road & camper for more privacy.  However, there was no grate on the ring. Went to the host on Friday evening, no one was home. Went back at 8:15 am and he sent a worker down. Unfortunately, they were under the impression the ODNR rings cannot have them installed? So if you plan on cooking on the fire, be sure to bring a grate. The grounds are well kept, even during the Covid-19 with restrictions on 6/5/20 when we arrived. Enjoyed the hiking trails and the opportunity to share nature facts with the grandkids. Recommend you visit soon!
