Beautiful campground. Great sites surrounded by beauty. Roche A Cri jumps out of the Earth soaring skyward. A must do for every camper is to camp here.
The history of the fort is truly fascinating. Add in the natural beauty of Copper Harbor and this is a must for campers to stay.
Great sites. Plenty to do. Favorite place to camp in Illinois.
Great place to camp in Southern California. Beautiful beach!
Great choice for camping along the ocean in Southern California.
A must for anyone camping along the Pacific Ocean in the Pacific Northwest. Great campsites, great hiking and one of the worlds best beaches to walk along.
A great campground with out of this world lake views. Most sites come with amazing lake views. Great for watching the sun rise up over the lake. Great swimming, fishing and playing. Facilities are some of the best anywhere. Plus paddle and boat on Wisconsin's second largest lake. Lots to do in the area too. Take a Auto Tour at nearby Sandhill State Wildlife Area. Get out and explore nearby Necedah National Wildlife Refuge and its world class visitor center. Perhaps catch a glimpse of the rare and endangered whooping crane. Into rock climbing, nearby Petenwell Rock provides some of the best climbing in the state.
Campground with nice facilities. Great place to launch your adventures out on the big lake. Nice beach and great shore fishing. Great place to launch you North Woods and Apostle Island adventure. Another bonus is the campground is a short walk to a great little downtown loaded with great shops and places to eat.
Great camp sites, nice showers/bathrooms, great views, great access for paddlers and some world class hiking. Be sure to bring your camera, but leave your swim suit at home. There is no swimming, so without a place or nearby place to swim, it only gets 4 stars.
A very nice campground on a beautiful quiet lake in the North Woods. Nice beach and picnic grounds. Right on the ATV trails. Great jumping off spot for a great North Woods adventure.
Black River Harbor is one of the Top Ten most beautiful places in the United States. Plenty of nice sites. A beautiful harbor on Lake Superior surrounded with by a cornucopia of natural beauty. Five named waterfalls that are simply amazing, each awe inspiring along with several hidden un-named falls that anywhere else would be named and a major attraction. Together in such a short span of river makes the place the best place to see waterfalls in the US. Harbor features a beautiful suspension bridge, gorgeous picnic ground, amazing examples of Civilian Conservation Corps architecture and perhaps the most beautiful beach on the great lakes. Short drive from Copper Peak, where you can see three states and Canada. Needs to be on everyone's bucket list.
Camping along the South Shore of Lake Superior. Nice beautiful large trees. Beautiful views of Lake Superior. Watch the Sunrise over the lake, fall asleep to waves crashing ashore. Nice restrooms, showers and kids playground. Minuses are no swimming location and no separation between camping spots. So hope you have a good camping neighbor.
Nice sites, great beach, lots of fishing opportunities, amazing picnic area and great paddling. Also plenty of areas to hike and bike.
Nice sites, plenty of hiking opportunities and fun on the water. Beach is ok. Only drawback is parking near boat landing is only for vehicles with boat trailers. Paddlers have to carry their boat or drop off and hike back from far away parking lots. Need parking spots near the water for paddlers.
Great place to camp if you want to be on the water, be it fishing, paddling or power boating. Nice trails and a cool little museum is a nice surprise.
One of the most beautiful places. But it ends there. The place is loved to death by people. Way, way to many people visit here. Place has a real bad litter problem. Also, some times you are not hiking the trails, but waiting in line on the trails. State Park system needs to fix the severe crowd problems here. Would give zero stars if it would have allowed it.
