Our walk-in site backed up to the golf course (?) which we couldn’t see but could hear. Not terrible, overall a very quiet campground. Restrooms were clean, but did not seemed heated. Doors propped open due to COVID likely didn’t help. Walking distance to the main beach where we hiked up the hill to watch the sunset.
Beautiful campground nestled in large hemlocks along the Smith River. The restroom and shower building was well kept and clean. They offered recycling, including propane cylinders. Couldn’t see the sites next to us, thanks to the shrubs and adequate space between campsites. The suspension bridge was already removed for the season, so we had to drive to access the redwood hiking trails.
Very nice park, clean restrooms and showers (although the shower drain backed up). Walking trails to the beach from the campground we’re easy to navigate. We were lucky to grab a walk in site, but we’re close to the highway. Some of the reservable sites have great views of the ocean.
