Near water, no hookups, great for camping

There is a long-term campground host who lives in this camp. Since it's first-come first-served it may be hard to get a spot on weekends, but it's nice, generally quiet.

It's a small camp, which helps keep it quiet. There's water at the entrance of camp, and a clean vault toilet near the middle. The river runs along the camp too.

quiet, well-equipped, rocky for tents

We visited this campground over a weekend that was going to be rainy in the Willamette Valley. Sarvice is listed on the Painted Hills park map with plenty of amenities- toilets and showers, mainly.

The owners live across the street, a note on the main cabin said to leave the money ($10 for tents) in a lockbox by the bathroom. There was one other couple each night of the weekend, so it was incredibly quiet and peaceful.

There are perhaps 15 RV pads. They tend to be clustered with 2-3 next to each other, but generally the campground is spread across a hillside.

Amenities- there are a handful of cabins, the RV pads all have power and water (but not sewer). I think the RV pads are where tents are supposed to be- it's basically the only flat ground- but the large rocks mean you'll want a good tent footprint and thick sleeping pad or air mattress). There's a kitchen area with stoves and fridges. I didn't use it.

Obviously this is a "corral", so there are horse facilities. That's all I know about that. I was on a bicycle, not a horse.

crowded

This is also known as Webb County Campground. It's very close to things- across the street is the Pelican brewery, the beach and launch for the dory fleet, and plenty of food choices.

If you can get a reservation, it isn't cheap. The basic price is over $30 for a tent, and you're supposed to pay for extra tents. (we didn't get charged, perhaps because we were using camping-sized tents, not huge cabin-sized tents that others were using). Further, the sites are very close to each other. You won't be a few feet from the neighboring tent, but it's pretty close to that.

There was a bit of partying and cars coming in late, so it's not the most peaceful. Still, I'll go back.

Bathrooms are okay. There are three showers (and often a small wait). They take quarters, and there's a change machine on the wall of the building.
