Spent the day hiking the trails around the pond area. Beautiful "waterfall" area. Great place for an leisurely canoe /kayak trip. Lots of good bike trails
The views of the lake are awesome, but no campsites with view. Great boat docks. Friendly rangers. Very quiet and relaxing place. Mainly water activities.
Congaree is one of my favorite parks to visit. I love walking around the boardwalk doing the self guided nature tour. Every time you go the landscape is a little different because of the flood plains. You can see the effects of hurricanes and fires from the past. Great place for kayaking or canoeing. For two weeks in may, it is one of the best places in the United States to see the fireflies migration. There are lots of great hiking trails for all skill levels.
The trees are amazing there. Rode my bike along the lake area and through some of the trails. There are signs warning of alligators but I didn't see any. I definitely want to go back and kayak.
I've camped here several times over the years. Big park, pretty big sites and awesome bike trails. Nice fishing area. Always see lots of deer and rabbits.
Nice short boardwalk area to explore. Loved the spring water. Love seeing the horses around the campsites.
Did a 2 night trip for my birthday in March. First time camping at the park and absolutely loved it. Campsites were well maintained, pier store has everything you could want or need, great walking trails and the most beautiful views in myrtle beach.
Awesome views, beautiful lake, huge campsites and friendly rangers.
I camp at Sesqui very often. I live in downtown Columbia, so its only a short drive away. Love the bike and hiking trails. Very nice area to kayak in, I love all the Lilly pads. Camp sites are decent size and always well maintained.
