We just spent last weekend here at Serrano Campground. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is well maintained and clean. Campsites have ample spaces in between there are a lot of flat places to pitch our tents. There are a mix of tent only, converted vans and trailers in loop but it doesn’t feel packed with visitors. The Lake was a 5-10 min walk from out site and we can see the lighthouse from the lake. Restrooms were clean although the showers were cold and does not heat up well. Will surely visit this site again. Its just 2 hours from home and that is one consideration we always look at when planning for a quick weekend with nature.
We spent the last weekend of September here at this campground. It was so far the most calm and quiet place we have ever been. The staff are friendly and they maintain the place really well. Our campsite is just close to the lake and the lake itself is clean and very calm. We will surely plan on coming back next year for a long weekend.
We just camped at Lake Casita Recreational grounds this month. There are several campsites in the area. Each campsites have different features, basic campsites have water available and vaulted toilets, and some sites have hookups for RV. The recreational grounds have picnic areas/tables and beautiful view of the lake. We stayed at the Indian campgrounds which has water and electricity hookups on each site. The campsite here are very close proximity to each other and there isn’t much view of the mountain nor the lake. I would probably recommend Osprey campground which has more space in between sites and has a beautiful clear view of the lake. There are lots of bird in the area and you can bring boats or practice fishing in the lake. No swimming is allowed in the lake. The water park is closed for renovations at this time and is announced to open next summer.
My Church choir stayed here for a retreat. We had a blast with view of the lake, just walking distance from our camp. Lots of trees and paved roads for bikes. Facilities were great too. Will surely visit this place again.
Visited this place several times and each time was a fun and relaxing experience. The place provided wonderful views of the lake, ample grounds for recreation and facilities were clean and well kept. Went there with family and friends several times and will actually visit again this September.
Tucked in the mountains, you feel very peaceful. Nights were beautiful with all the stars lighting the sky. The caretaker was nice to show us a gopher snake too.
We stayed here last May and was fully mesmerized by the view of the lake and the mountains. Nights were equally gorgeous as we watched all the stars. Will surely plan our next visit here.
