This lake is great for a relaxed time.

The lake is great for so many waters ports, windsurfing, wakeboarding, kayaking, fishing. We have spent lots of day trips, and many camping trips at this lake.

I grew up at this lake

I had the best time wakeboarding, swimming, kayaking, cliff jumping, hiking and more at this lake. There are trails that circle the entire lake, not that exciting of a view, but it's great exercise. The day use areas are great for boating, windsurfing, or just cooling off in the water. I have great memories of late night swims in the lake when the water gets warm late in the summer!

Pretty crowded on 4th of July, but beautiful

Dang, Paulina and East Lakes are beautiful. Walk out to the lake on a clear, dark night for the most beautiful view of the stars you've ever seen. We loved our time here. Some great hikes start from this area, and the lake is great for water activities. Make sure to check out the hot springs along the shore of Paulina Lake. Oh, and it IS pronounced Paul-I-Nuh. I'd heard that and Paul-eeh-nuh. And turns out the first is correct.

Best place to car camp near Smith rock!

This place was great! We wanted a place to camp in our car near Smith Rock State Park, and this was the only campground nearby that allows that (as far as we could find). Easy check in, beautiful spot with that high Desert feel. We cooked breakfast burritos over the fire pit in the morning and drove the 10 minutes to Smith Rock for our hike.
