My family and I got a Yurt here and enjoyed this park. One thing I found weird was the yurt only had a code and no key, we found it frustrating using a code to go in and out every time. It is a very large park so make sure you have a park map(I’ll add one with the pictures). The privacy is kind of there, you can still hear your neighbors, but can get privacy while on your porch. Tent sites had very little privacy like most coast places. There are only 3 pet friendly yurts so keep that in mind. There are playgrounds, and other places to do activities. There are also multiple quick ways to the beach. Showers are locker room style and are segregated male and female. One negative I saw was they don’t really prioritize cleanliness there.
This is park as minimal amenities, and is pretty far away from anything. The reason to come here is the swimming and the beauty. Site 4 has the best view in the park and it is always the first to go, only down fall is people walk next to it to go to the water and can be rude, but mostly are pretty good. If you want privacy you’re not getting it in this site, but there are smaller sites that offer that. There are vaulted toilets and a small day use area. There is a jumping rock and a few small swimming pools for the kids, great swimming for everyone.
I tent camped here so I only know about the C loop(make sure you watch the videos). The park is large, lots of RV spots. There are 6 tent spots that I seen. I think the area is beautiful and has a lot of interesting little critters. They have locker room like showers that get real hot. It has nice paths that lead from one section to the other and it’s easy to navigate. I would stay here again if I got the right site(again, watch the videos)
This place has a host but they stay out of your business, There are three bathrooms that they keep pretty clean. Half is reservable and the other half is a free for all. The site are good sized and the fire pits are usable for cooking, they have a locked in grill that can adjust its height. The table leg on our site was pretty bad and definitely not movable. The tree placement was good, we had a couple options to put our hammock, and was able to have a good run for our dogs. There were paths leading to the other two campsites next too me and I could see them clearly. What you go here for is the swimming and the gold panning. There is Gold Panning done at a lot of creeks all around this campground, and thats I know. The swimming spot is across the street and it is semi hard to get down but once you are down, there are two beautiful areas, one has a 10 ft jumping rock. The other spot is a long channel made by smooth white rocks with deep clear water. This area is great for pictures.
