Zealot Leash

Overall a decent Campground. Lots are spacious. Layout of fire pit on sites are poor. For example lot 76, fire is offset to the left of the electrical post. This is a problem since majority of RVs have awnings on the right side and electrical hook up on the back left side. Our fire pit ended up behind the camper. Poor layout by campsite personnel. “DNR Officer” that oversees the grounds is a zealot on dog leashes! “Your dog must be on a six foot leash even while swimming,” he yelled at me. Being an owner of a finely trained Labrador Retriever that I was exercising in the water, I doubt I will be back!!!!!!!!

Very Nice

Very nice Campground lots of trees for shade. Staff is very helpful. Facilities are clean and well maintained.

Hood Park

Do not try to check in before 2 pm!!!! No alcohol allowed in park!

Typical Park campground outside of urban area. Decent swim beach area a lot of algae outside of swim area. Town is close by so you can do other things ( Groceries, laundromat etc…..) while waiting for check in. Spider issue others write about appears to be controlled. However every picnic table has lots of spider webs underneath!!!!

Devil Creek

Pulled in without reservation Host told us about no shows and accommodated us. Lots of First/Come first serve sites. Check out is 11:00 am so pull in early see what’s available. No electric, no sanitation, no water. The facility are excellent to Montana cleanliness standards. The hosts are always more than helpful. We have always loved traveling in Montana!!!!!!!!!!!

Priest River

Lots are well spaced, however narrow limiting slide outs and awning extension. Obviously slide out take priority limiting awning extension. There is no fresh drinkable water hook up at sanitation station. The fresh water station carries a warning that it is not suitable for drinking. ( Not sure if this is common in the Western States?) Sanitation station has no water hookup to flush sewer tank only hose to clean sanitation/sewer hose. Vicky Rayes Pizza was good.

No bugs to bother you.

No electric hook ups, no AC at 90 plus degrees!

Turtle River

Lots of poison ivy. Campground should have a caution note on it for individuals with severe reaction. Overall it is a nice campground with a lot of trails and playground. Bathroom and shower facility is new and clean. A lot of drive through lots that are level with easy hook ups WiFi is only available at entrance station.

Pokegama Dam Campground

Sites are level gravel pads. On the water sites have no beach shoreline lots of cattails. Highway noise is constant and Trains go by often all hours of the day.

Gogebic

Very spacious campsites with easy access. Campsites on the water with rock shore.
