Please know this is mostly a mobile home park and long term rvs. It’s kept up decent but some shoddy add ons and sheds throughout. there are I’ve 900 sites and more than 95% are permanent. It’s between a very busy freeway and very busy railroad track. Cute little lake with lots of activities for kids and themed weekends. I was abke to run 3 miles aroind the park. Full hook ups are only up to 30 amps. Close to Chicago. We will not be returning due to noise but other than that, it’s ‘meh’.
Maybe we haven’t been around enough, but I loved this place in the Big Sky Country. Huge lot, stamped concrete patio, nice table with umbrella and a porch swing made this feel inviting. They had a camp restaurant with made to order meals and lots of family activities. Only sad thing is we only stayed one night, lol. Will definitely book a lot longer visit.
The campground itself was fine and very convenient in location to vIsIt famIly. The entrance/exit is difficult and it looks like it’s not their fault as they have been trying to get permits to fix it but the NE transportation is not being cooperative so I recommend patience on this section. What the “but” is, is that we were given an inappropriate size space for the rig we stated, super narrow and we stuck over the road by 2 feet. They had larger sites all around us but were told we could not change. Because it was only one night, we dealt with it and I just used the empty larger site next to us to have some outdoor space. One foot off our door was the next site’s sewer hook up and the picnic table was on top of the fire pit because there was no room at all. This was just stupid. If we go back to visit, we will insist that we are in a larger site as it was actually a nice campground. Apparently I didn’t get a picture, but here’s the map, do not stay here in sites 34 - 70 if you have a rig over 30’ and dont want to touch your neighbors camper.
Staff is very organized, just follow directions and they’ll get you all set up. Lots of trees and next to White River. Lots of sites, pool is very slippery so hold on. Close to the Badlands and great sunsets. Definitely coming back for a longer stay.
This KOA has nice wide lots and friendly staff. Laundry room was clean and cheap. near a highway but not terribly noisy. would stay again.
Nice campground with 30/50 amp electric, no water or service but bathrooms are clean and many. The staff are very friendly and willing to offer info. The local trail is paved and bike/walker/stroller friendly but due to recent flooding at the lake, it was also cut short until clean up could resume. Lots of treea and small wIldlIfe, would stay there again.
