Campground is pretty understaffed. But….it was still fairly clean & quiet. Be mindful of the showers, you only get a 10 seconds d burst of cold water 😆 It was pretty shocking! The trails are nice, pretty well maintained. There is a tour of Rose Island, which was very intriguing. Everything is “driving” distance; the park, trail heads, picnic shelters, camp store (which doesn’t stock much), etc. We will definitely be returning. Loved the peace and quiet of this place.
Sites were quite nice, fairly level, & quiet. Bath houses were clean. Fishing was fun! Didn’t catch much, but it was fun. Beach is nice! Oh!!! And the Lilly pads are everywhere! Gorgeous. Definitely will be one of my close to home go-to’s.
We love it here. We always stay in “Taylor’s Ridge” Campgrounds are nice, plenty of dump stations and water fill stations. Hiking trails are great! This is a regular stop for us.
Great park. Quiet, shady, and plenty to do. Trails 1-3 were marked well. The others, not so much. Lots of bike trails, but we didn’t check those out. Lake was fun, we rented row boats for the day. Reasonable prices. Use caution!!!! Poison Ivy is rampant!!! Bring your dawn, alcohol wipes, or ivyrest.
Really enjoy this place everyone we go. So much to do!
The lake was gorgeous! The campground….not so much. You could tell it was an SRA and not a state park. Trails were decent. Some of them were a bit overgrown.
The hiking trails here are awesome! Something for every level! The campground is pretty and spacious. Very peaceful. Great for just day trips as well.
This place is so beautiful! We stayed in the hideaway loop and it was perfect. Lots of wildlife, so pack your food up right. The hiking trails were pretty, not very rugged. Scenery was nice on the trails.
This place was gorgeous! The hiking trails were amazing, the scenery was breathtaking, the sites were nice, and the nature center was so cool. We had a wonderful time and plan on returning many times to hike all the trails.
