This is a place that where you stay makes a massive difference in how much you like this place.
The road in the back is very bumpy but sites near entrance a great.
My site was super nice for having a dog, but my truck could not fit in the site with a 22 foot camper. Although almost every site but mine was plenty big enough.
Campground is right on the Leadville 100 race course.
Perfect place to train for the race or relive past races.
Great place for dogs.
Some campsites and way better then others so look at map first.
Super helpful staff.
Mind when you need laundry, can get very backed up.
We had the best hosts every.
This a an amazing place to bring your dog.
Trails right out of the camp site to hike.
These are excellent secluded sites with nice bathrooms.
The river runs right along the park.
Not very many trails near by, and starts to get cold early because of the valley.
I had no issues with being close to the highway.
We came on July 4th, and although many activities were going on, this place was quite like a mouse by Sunday. This place has everything: a massive field for dogs to play off-leash (they must be on in the park), a great restaurant, laundry, propane, a swimming pool, and a massive amount of outdoor activities.
Oh, and supper friendly staff.
Some camp sites are very large and only for 18 and over, super nice, and next to big trails. Some camp sites are incredible tight and congested. There are lots of trails, fishing, and side-by-side action.
Dog friendly, but lots of dogs.
Staff is accommodating and you can trail walk, street walk, and free shuttle into town.
This is a 1 star facility, but it gets 5 stars for what it provides. When you are traveling thru and just need a place with water and electricity, that place is free. There is even a water park in the park.
This is not a place to enjoy, but it is a God send when needing a place to stay while traveling.
There is not a lot to do, and it is pretty far from the city. However, there are big RV sites and amazing sunsets. There is also a lake nearby.
Dog friendly.
There are lots of nature trails, but none very long.
Lots of ticks, tricky to get good starlink connection.
It's the perfect place to stop while traveling through. There are spacious spots, a short nature trail, a swimming area on the lake, and one good restaurant just down the road.
There are some spots right on the lake.
Beautiful but not appropriate for kids. High alcohol and drug use and high crime rate at times. Only electric golf carts no side by sides.
