Close to wine country you will find this gem of a family campground. Dog and kid friendly with activities such as wagon rides, arts and crafts, movie night and various themed weekend events. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming during our entire stay. An easy back in site with full hookups (B10) backed against a row of trees and a field that provided much entertainment of squirrels and birds. There is a camp store with very reasonable prices and accepts credit cards. Wood ($4) and ice ($2) are also for sale. There are two small cabins to rent along with a couple of family tent sites. The bathrooms/showers were clean near the camp store. Amenities include a pool, mini golf ($1/person), two playgrounds, horseshoes, a recreation center with games and movies, basketball and shuffle board. There are many seasonal campers at this campground, but all seemed friendly and welcoming as well. It truly seemed like one big happy family there.
Campground has large full hook up campsites and plenty of them. Each site is mostly level and seems private with having greenery around each site. There are planned activities each day like limbo, scavenger hunts, movie night at the pool( in summer months) and a great pool to swim in with two water slides. At $96/ night it is pricey, but still less expensive than staying at a hotel resort. Bonus is you camp in July, there are raspberry bushes throughout the park!!
This is a private campground located in Bloomfield, NY right on the Mud Creek. Located close to shopping, wineries, hiking, and concert events. Call for reservation, then they use text to send reservation form, confirmation form and site map. $20 gets you a bucket full of campfire wood delivered directly to your campsite! A pavilion on site offers a sink and refrigerator to use ( must label with name) , FREE games ( pool table, foosball, cards, Cornhole, etc). Don't feel like bringing/ setting up the grill? They have you covered…. Use their full size grills on site! While they have several showers to use, I only found one flush toilet for the ladies to use ( large area but no door or curtain) however, there are Port a pottys to use as well. Sites have picnic table, fire ring, Adirondack chairs, water and electric hookup, and a dump station to use on your way out. If you stay for an extended period, they offer free emptying at your site. Turtle visits are complimentary as well.
I only gave this campground 3 stars due to not being able to swim (beach was closed due to algae/unsafe water)
The park is close enough to visit touristy places during the day, but far enough from the noise to feel relaxed.
Great hiking, wonderful nature center on site with some planned activities to participate in. Camp store is also in close proximity to nature center.
Large end of loop sites, but many sites to choose from!!!!!!
This state park campground is one of the few that offer full hook ups.
The bathrooms have been remodeled and most are private with a toilet, shower and sink which makes this a wonderful family campground.
The hiking includes an easy 3.1 mile loop with much shade around two glacier formed turquoise lakes ( you need to see them in person to appreciate)
The beach area is wide and shallow in most areas. in close proximity to the store and snack shop (ICE CREAM)
Just past the swimming area is boat rentals ($7/hr for row boat rental)
Golfing is also available on site!
This campground has many large sized campsites and plenty of hiking, swimming and fishing to do. One highlight is the close vicinity to the infamous 'April the giraffe'!!! If you feel adventurous, take a paddle tour down the river, it's a great way to spend the day connecting with nature and disconnecting from the electronics!
This campground had many large electric sites that sit overlooking Lake Ontario. All sites are back in only so you need skills in backing up if you are towing. Amenities include 18 hole frisbee golf, recreational hall, basketball court a camp store and a few playground areas. The closest large shopping area is approximately 30 minutes away (Brockport). There is No water access and no swimming allowed at this campground. No hammocks are allowed to be tied to the trees either.
Only about 15 minutes to the closest large town (Geneva), Sampson State park has it all. Recreation Hall, swimming, fishing, great lake front playground, camp store, hiking trails(many wheelchair friendly) and boating. This campground is also dog friendly.
