During the winter months the manatees come into the head of the spring to keep warm, (100s). The park is on the St. John river and offers boating, canoeing and kayaking. Snorkeling and floating on rafts are allowed by the spring head. The campgrounds have a few large sites, but a lot are uneven. There are train tracks close by, so if you are in a tent be prepared.

They have updated a few of the sites to have sewer hookups. The loop in the 50s offers a little more room per site. This park is in a convenient location in the Orlando area and makes for a great qick get away.

This is a small but nice park, with friendly and helpful staff. It is a little oasis in Orlando, and will forget rhat you are in the city. There is a lot of wildlife to view.
