No trailers or RVs, perfect for tents and vans

If you're a van camper or in a tent it's a super cool spot. Road is too rough for a trailer or RV.

Very busy area

Super packed on weekends and full of UTVs.

Small turnoff right on the road

We didn't end up staying here because the fire pit was small, maybe six rocks. It's right on a ledge and you're barely off the road.

Not really enough space to feel comfortable with traffic coming through the monument.

Good spot for a night or two

There are 3-4 spots with fire pits dispersed throughout the area. Most were really small and not well built. Flat area, and 3 sites are easy to pull through, one hike in.

We came mid March and there wasn't another overnighter. Lots of road traffic during the day, but very quiet nights.

So many deer in the area, be careful with your dogs.

Wonderful spot, but dust and heavy traffic

During the evening and early mornings this place is magical. It gets pretty crowded during the day and when people say the dirt road is dusty, you've never seen anything like this. You can't see 5ft in front of you. There are 3 RV sites and several tent sites down by the river. Place was full every night in July.

Very very packed and tight campground

If you like camping stacked tent to trailer, this is your place. I can't believe how many sites they crammed into this small area.

Please respect our public spaces

Great location for a night's rest. Unfortunately the area has been abused and there is broken glass and trash everywhere. It's far enough from the highway that you can't hear road noise, but based on the trash and fire pits this area could be quite busy.

Busy area and very exposed

Zero shade up on the mesa and the wind really whips up here. We've stayed in this area several times throughout the year and you always have at least one windy night.

Weekends you'll be camping next to large circled up RV groups. There are few fire pits further down the road. You can keep going down the road and find a place away from everyone but you're really out there with limited service. At this camp you won't have service.

Side by side paradise

If you're in the area to see sand hollow via motorcycle or side-by-side this is a perfect base camp. For everyone else you might be quickly annoyed by the noise all day, and night. The first night we had people riding around until about 2 am.

The area is absolutely beautiful. Red Utah desert and very sandy. Your gear will be pink by the time you go home.

Lots of space to park and a fire pits scattered throughout the valley. I'd be careful with small ones and pets due to all the off road vehicles using this as a trailhead.

The era of 18 road has come and gone

This area has exploded in popularity over the past 5-6 years. Trails are great, but I would ride and pass through. It's no longer worth camping out here with the noise of disrespectful campers who tore up the area which led to it moving from dispersed to campground. If you plan on going at all during the warm months it will be an absolute zoo. Literally… Our RV neighbor had a pig in their campground.

Dirt road pull out

There aren't a ton of spots, we counted about 5 before coming up on the location marked and went up about another mile. Very narrow, exposed road. I would not recommend a trailer or larger RV. The pullouts are tight, if you have dogs or kids I'd go farther up to avoid the traffic.
