Beautiful lake setting, surounded by snow capped mountains even in July, great fishing, boating, hiking and nature walking. We chose it rather than Yellowstones crowded campgrounds, and were pleasantly surprised it was a nice place to stay on its own merit. Be prepared for wind in your campsite though, allthough beautiful, the mountains all around make for a strong wind tunnel, make sure all is staked down ,lol
Half of this beautiful Island of St George , is develpoped, Hotels, condos, shops , bars, and amusments of varios kinds. The other half is pristine beaches, dunes and bay of St George. Great long clean beaches, wonderful fishing , hiking , boating, or just lying on the beach, with at least 5 miles of them, they were never crowded. Great place to stay if you want a little bit of both.
