Our experience here was great. The map is misleading a bit. There is a public boat launch with camp sites all over. These sites are dispersed with little to no contract between camp sites. We stayed at what I thought was the south campground… basically 150 yds from the boat launch. The vault toilets were very well cared for and didn't have the typical smells and lingering posits that make this type of accommodation so memorable. A few little connecting trails that you can walk around… but not much that we found for hiking; just walking down the road mostly. The lake was cold but refreshing on a hot day. Overall a great little place to visit again.
