It was clean, there are fire rings, you are spaced out from neighbors, but I don’t know something just felt off in my gut.

Instead of paying for a hotel we came and camped here. The view at some campsites are pretty wonderful, although nothing breath taking. Lots of off roading traffic coming in and out, met a few really grumpy people, but like I said it’s great if you just need a place to crash.

I think about this campsite so often that I had to come back and write a review for it. I was able to manage my Ford Fiesta all the way down and up with no problems… just take it super slow. My dog and I had so much fun waking up to the lake view, sitting in the sun, and continuously swimming. I even pushed back my plans so I could stay here an extra day. I will most definitely be back!

Stayed here for two nights while exploring Yellowstone. Yes it is about a 30 minute drive outside of the west entrance, but absolutely worth it. Both days I didn’t get there until the evening and was still able to find a wonderful spot right in front of the lake. Neighbors were always super nice, can buy firewood from the rv park up the road. Would definitely return
